Lopez rumors swirl as team lands in Buenos Aires
By: travis |The preseason drama continues. Will he? Or won’t he? The he in question is of course, Claudio Lopez. Negotiations have been “close” for about a week now. And seeing that Monday rosters must be compliant with the salary cap. According to Soccer America, this means that deals should be done by Monday.
While that would be [...]
Coming to a local billboard near you…
By: travis |Well, only if you live in the KC Metro area…
The team’s blog posted images of four billoards that will be up and around KC. Obviously a good move on the team’s part to help boost their public image. Players on the billboard include USMNT member Jimmy Conrad, Davy Arnaud, and Kevin Hartman.

Leaving on a jet plane…
By: travis |A few thoughts/questions prior to KC taking off Wednesday night for a preaseason stint in Argentina:
Will Claudio Lopez be on the plane ride back home?
That’s one of the biggest questions. As reported earlier, last Friday discussions were quite close in bringing the Argentinian to KC as the DP. Convenient that they’ll be in his home [...]

If you caught the game, please leave thoughts here.

Lopez would be a replacement for Johnson. Could be seen as an [...]
Preaseason thus far
By: travis |Strap yourselves in ladies and gents, this is going to be doozy of a post.
That first post didn’t count. I wrote “the Wiz is back” and the “Wiz are back” in two different parts of the entry. I’m shaking my head in embarrassment.
Anyways, to continue, I’m going to write a bit more about myself before [...]
The Wiz is back!
By: travis |Greetings Offsiders. My name is Travis, and I’ve been given the keys to the KC Wizards Blog. I’m going to keep this post short and sweet to start things off as I’m trying to come up with a strategy to preview this season.
A lot of things have changed for the Wizards since their [...]
