Wizards win second in a row
By: travis | April 5th, 2008With three goals in the second half, including a late winner from substitute Scott Sealy, the Wizards won their second consecutive game of the season over the Rapids. Conrad scored twice within three minutes off of set pieces. The Rapids fought back to tie it at 2-2 before Sealy’s winner
I’m going to try and watch the game later today, so no thoughts quite yet. Recaps and highlights from MLS (along with a quotesheet) and Soccernet both give a good recap, although tomorrow I’m going to try and have something up in my own words.

I was at the game yesterday. Definitely a great time! It’s a little odd seeing a soccer game in a baseball stadium, but the smaller size is great. A very exciting atmosphere in the crowd, which actually looks and sounds like a crowd. The Cauldron was in high energy form and probably contributed to one of the KC goals. The Wizards started off a little slowly, with the ball seeming to spend more of the time in their half of the pitch - the high wind could have been a factor. However, once they got going, they played well. It was a very exciting game with Wizards going up 2-0. Then the Rapids came back with two. A late KC goal sealed the victory. It was a great game with some fine performances by both old and new faces to the team. I’m looking forward to a great year form the Wizards.
