Another Argentina victim

Now that Claudio Lopez has officially joined the team, there is much less to talk about. The Wizards continue their training in Argentina, and won their latest friendly 2-1 over River Plate. Goals were scored by Jack Jewsbury and Kevin Souter, one of the players on trial (kind of a funny way to put it). No Lopez sighting, as he was busy being introduced at a news conference held at the team’s hotel, I believe.
Injury News: Lance Watson, who suffered a broken foot in the friendly against Velez Sarsfield, looks to be out for 6 weeks after undergoing surgery. He’s now the second player to suffere a broken foot, as rookie Roger Espinoza suffered one a few weeks ago and missed out on the trip to Argentina
