Don’t cry for me Argentina…

After the Wizards keep beating your club teams. Sure, they’re friendlies. Sure, one could argue that they’re meaningless. Ok, they are friendlies and they are meaningless (at least record-wise). But the squad is getting good results with lots of changes and in different surroundings so it’s hard not to be optimistic. Hillcrest has a detailed recap here of the latest win, a 3-2 come from behind victory over Velez Sarsfield. Shout out goes to fellow JMU alumni Kyle Morsink for playing the entire game (at least according to the blog). He was the only one in for the full 90, as Onalfo looks at different lineups and using both the 3-5-2 and the 4-4-2.

Trialist Andrew DiCicco scored the game winner, giving him three goals in the preseason already. Will that be anough to make the roster? No sign of Trujillo either. I would guess he’ll be making his preseason debut soon. Maybe this week, perhaps the week after.

Up next: River Plate. Should be fun.
