All quiet on the Kansas (City) front…
By: travis | March 16th, 2008Ho-hum. The newswires surrounding the Wizards are quiet as of now. Probably building steam as the beginning of the season draws near. T-minus 12 days and counting until the opening match against DC. I’m going to be coming at you with massive amounts of previews over the next week, hoping to get everything done before my travels begin this weekend (I’m taking a train across Australia).
No updates on the stadium situation, none on Lopez, and nothing in terms of injuries/signings/anything worth reporting. The best I can do is invite those in the KC area out to a meet and greet with the players this Thursday at 6:30. The location is the Dave and Buster’s at The Legends. Details are at the previous link.
I’ll briefly mention that Fulham won 1-0 over Everton. EJ goes the full 90 once again.

Thank you for all your postings!
Two questions.
Is there any word on the open trialist Kevin Souter who was taken to Argentina, there has been “buzz” that he might sign.
Second, will they Wiz have more open trials soon?

Souter is still training with the team, which is a good sign, but he has not signed any form of contract with the Wizards yet.
As for more open trials. There are no more open tryouts coming up. I haven’t heard any word on whether more players from the first open tryout would be invited back.
