Coming to a local billboard near you…

The team’s blog posted images of four billoards that will be up and around KC. Obviously a good move on the team’s part to help boost their public image. Players on the billboard include USMNT member Jimmy Conrad, Davy Arnaud, and Kevin Hartman.
Post and images can be seen here. Nothing like seeing gigantic MLS-players on your way to or from work. Or on a cross-country drive. Hopefully there are a lot of Homer Simpsons out there who will do anything a billboard says. (Please understand reference). A snippit from the episode via SNPP. I’ll try and scrounge up a clip.
In the middle of driving down the highway, Homer skids to a halt in
front of a billboard.Homer: [gasps] It must be the first of the month: new billboard day! [a car-carrying truck stops behind him]
[a bunch of cars drive onto it accidentally]
Driver: Heh heh heh…finders keepers. [drives off]
Homer: [reading] “This year, give her English muffins.” Whatever you
say, Mr. Billboard! [skids off]
I’m hoping for a similar situation along I-70. Man stops. Sees billboard. “Must buy Wizards tickets. Whatever you say giant Davy Arnaud!” Think it’ll work? Everyone knows that TV is just like real life.
I’ll try and have an image up later. Work blocks the blogspot domain. Not that I’m posting on theoffside at work…
