Not Another Stadium
By: Morpheus | July 12th, 2011I know there haven’t been much reviews lately, but watching these games have not left me with much to say. I am glad that Vermes is finally out of his 4-3-3 formation, but the lack of tactical changes that he makes during the game make me really frustrated. Either he doesn’t think there needs to be any or he isn’t seeing when players are getting exhausted (which is another problem in and of itself) and he needs to change the way his team should attack or defend.
But, the real reason I am writing this doesn’t really have anything to do with a specific game. I finally was able to make it to my first game at Livestrong Sporting Park. It was the game against Chivas USA which we tied in added time of the second half. Nothing like waiting to the last second to win a point. But, I was completely amazed at the stadium. Everyone had told me that it was state of the art and that nothing was spared. But, I didn’t truly believe it until I walked in and saw it with my own eyes.
The atmosphere of the game was amazing. How close the fans are to the field and the players is incredible. And the way the cauldron chants and cheers throughout the whole game can help keep you in the game when the excitements on the field isn’t quite there.
For anyone that has been debating on if they should go to a game or not. Or for anyone that isn’t a full on soccer fan but a sports fan. I recommend and experience the stadium. And then you can stick around for the game and enjoy the whole experience a little more.
