Revival
By: travis | September 19th, 2008For at least the last month of the season, I’m going to bring back the Wizards. That’s right. You heard it here first. Hopefully, a revival on this here blog will coincide with a better late-than never run towards a postseason berth, something that seems unlikely for team that has gone cold at the worst time of the season.
The outlook is mixed with just six games remaining. However, KC is only four points out of the last playoff spot, sitting behind DC United who has a plethora of injury concerns along with a hectic travel and match schedule. Along with that, four of the six final games will be played at the Community America Ballpark, where they’ve posted a 6-2-3 record.
At this point, I would put the number of points at around 12 to have a good shot at making the playoffs, perhaps more in the 13 or 14 range as well. Hard to tell how other teams will fare – especially since the last spot is up for grabs by a team from either the West or the East.
