The Wolffman cometh?
By: travis | June 26th, 2008Or retourneth, really. Rumors are swirling around the Internets that Josh Wolff may be making a return to Kansas City. With the Wizards hurting for goals – they have less than Landon Donovan, for pete’s sake – the front office is in a position where they have to be on the lookout for a new striker. Do I support this? Hard to say. Haven’t seen the man play in ages, and from what I’ve read in recaps of his US performances, he didn’t do anything to write home about. The word woeful may have been mentioned somewhere. Bottom line is, KC needs a goal scorer, so to see them proactive in a search is step in the right direction. Is he the right man for the job? We’ll see. Mike over at Down the Byline favors Nate Jaqua. As far as available strikers are concerned, I’m hard pressed to think of any of the top of my head. Stealing Brian McBride from the Fire would be one option – that isn’t realistic. They’ll be more to come as this saga develops.
